E chegou a altura de anunciar mais uma loja da semana da nossa Etsy Twitter Team! Desta vez a escolhida foi JewelCraft Designs, uma loja que apresenta peças de joalharia que apostam no cruzamento de diferentes materiais, tais como cristais, pedras semi-preciosas, madeira, concha ou metal. Como Sharlyn, de Fort Lauderdale, USA, diz no seu perfil, o seu envolvimento com o mundo da arte começou há mais de 20 anos na área da serigrafia, gravura e esculturas em papel, tendo-se tornado entretanto uma criadora auto-didacta de joalharia, a par da sua carreira em recursos humanos, tal como se pode ver no seu blog: hr bartender.

Escolhi da sua loja uma pulseira que me chamou a atenção, pela cor, pela expressividade e porque me levou a investigar uma técnica cujo nome e origem desconhecia... a chainmaille.

And here we are for another post about the shop of the week of Etsy Twitter team! This time the chosen one was JewelCraft Designs, a shop that presents jewelry pieces created with different mediums and materials. As Sharlyn, from Fort Lauderdale, USA, says at her profile, she has been involved in the art world for over 20 years. She began her craft as a commercial artist, producing limited-edition serigraphs, etchings, and paper sculptures and then became a self-taught jewelry maker. She is also a human resources expert, as you can find out visiting her blog: hr bartender.

At her shop I picked up a bracelet that drawn my attention, for its color, its expression and for making me research about a technique whose name and origins I wasn't aware of... the chainmaille.
